Majestic House, located in Borehamwood, is a project we are instructed on by our frequent Client. The site is surrounded by existing buildings making the construction of the building more challenging, hence creative thinking, planning and coordination was required. The intention is to provide a modern high-quality design that sits comfortably within the local vernacular.

Our client wanted to re-evaluate the site and explore ideas to enhance the proposal. As the site is capable of spatial re-arrangement and addition of a Basement and lift, an application was submitted by Planning Architecture and granted through successful committee for providing a basement to accommodate a gym and office space on the ground floor and basement. The idea of a hybrid system providing a coworking space, and residential units. The flats above are designed to ensure compliance with all relevant bodies.

Planning Architecture are involved from RIBA Stage 0-7 by creating and coordinating the design, ensuring all consultants are on track and designing to the approved planning. Construction drawings produced are compliant to all relevant bodies, working closely with the contractor and taking the hands-on approach has ensured a value engineering for the project is achieved.
