Being a in the Melrose Conservation area, this site required a more delicate approach to acquire planning and take onto construction. The application relates to a three storey mid-terraced property located on Shepherds Bush Road. Planning Architecture were commissioned to provide a feasibility of the site, after careful consideration of the site opportunities and constraints, the brief was formed and the strategy to take the site forward was laid out.

A rear extension and loft extension have been granted after rigorous communication with the Local Authority, a healthy relationship with the council has aided in acquiring what our client needs.

External enhancements/refurbishments were required to ensure the building works efficiently, the existing materials have eroded, through further discussions with the council, the buildings life has been extended by benefits from new materials internally and externally.

Planning Architecture has been commissioned to be involved from RIBA Stage 0-7 by creating and coordinating the design, ensuring all consultants are on track. Construction drawings produced are compliant to all relevant bodies and in keeping with the conservation area restrictions. Working closely with the client and contractor has ensured a smoother construction and compliance with Planning drawings.
